‘I am a Head of Year at a local secondary school and have been using the Kendleshire Kids Foundation for the past 2 academic years for students who really struggle in the secondary school setting and getting themselves into trouble and have been at risk of permanent exclusion. The staff there are brilliant and are excellent in providing mentoring support for our students in order to support them back in the school setting. It is lovely to hear such positive feedback about the students who have attended and has massively improved their self-esteem and attainment within the classroom. Many Thanks for your continued support with our students.’ (March 2024)

Kendleshire Kids Foundation go above and beyond for our students and the support they receive is  outstanding.  Students, who are often highly vulnerable,  benefit so much from the sessions - they really look forward to the golf, whilst developing essential skills at the same time. All the staff are fantastic, they genuinely care for young people and motivate them to achieve.  I can't thank Kendleshire Kids Foundation enough - I only wish they had more spaces to offer - we'd be first line for them!

SENCO at a local secondary school – March 2024

I am mother to G and S who are members of the Kendleshire Kids Foundation. The foundation has been great support to both my young men particularly with their mental health. S., in particular, who is a wheelchair user, thrives from his time on the golf course and in the programme offered by the Foundation.

Parent of two young people, personally referred, who has been attending our programme from its inception – July 2022

Spoke to C but, as Saturday will be a rugby day,( as his age group moves up to the colts from September,) he will therefore not be able to attend. We would have liked him to continue but appreciate his age now and how the changes make a difference moving forward.

We cannot express enough our gratitude to you and your amazing team for their hard work, compassion, kindness and positivity encouraged through such an important programme. Personally, your difference has impacted C’s life and pathed the way for him to achieve, be more confident and go for what he wants to do in his next journey.

Parent of a young person at a partner secondary school – July 2022

It is really good to hear such positive feedback from someone who has seen this young man’s journey. I know he has expressed an interest in carpentry and joinery as post 16 options but actually I am  wondering whether he ought to be thinking about some kind of youth work. We regularly get compliments about his interactions with younger children and those who are vulnerable. We see that at school, sometimes, as well. It also says much about the impactful nature of the Kendleshire Kids Foundation on his development.

Alternative Provision Lead at a partner secondary school – February 2022

Thank you again for letting us visit today, it was so good to meet you all and to hear about the work you do.  It really is inspiring. Our students speak very highly of you when they are in school.

Pastoral Lead and Assistant Head of Safeguarding and Child Protection at a partner secondary school – February 2022

“I just wanted to email with thanks to a gradual year of helping our son. He has come a long way, socially and emotionally. Attainment at school has improved, with feeling confident and able to attend classes. He doesn’t always get his day right but his improvement at school is a credit to yours and his own efforts.”

“I would like to thank Kendleshire Kids Foundation for the amazing support they have provided for some of our vulnerable students and their families, J, C, S and C. Through the power of sport they have helped improve self-esteem, build resilience and encourage teamwork. The whole team ensures that everyone feels welcome and supported. You are doing an amazing job with the kids’ best interests at heart.”
